Athens Christian School is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our accounting team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate billing and payment processing for student accounts and other services. This position is Full-Time (August–May: 40 hrs/week; June–July: 20 hrs/week).

Key Responsibilities:

Generate and manage billing for student accounts

Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions

Create bi-weekly bank deposits

Utilize accounts receivable platforms, primarily FACTS Management System

Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Quickbooks Online software

Communicate clearly and professionally with ACS staff and parents

Work independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred)

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable or bookkeeping

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

The Davis Academy, an independent Kindergarten Prep - Eight Grade school in Dunwoody/Sandy Springs, is seeking a Lower School Teaching Assistant for the 2025-2026 school year. Salary based on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field.
• Three years of experience working with children (independent school experience preferred, but not required)

Essential Functions

• An ability to build relationships with students that foster a positive classroom environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and take academic risks
• Support and reinforce grade-level appropriate instruction aligned with The Davis Academy curriculum.
• Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
• Assist in creating a positive, engaging, and active learning environment.
• Provide constructive feedback and positive reinforcement to students.
• Support the lead teacher in maintaining accurate student records (attendance, grades, and other documentation).
• Assist in implementing effective classroom management procedures.
• Supervise students during out-of-class activities, including emergency drills, assemblies, field trips, lunchtime, and recess.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the lead teacher or school administration.

Student Supervision & Support

• Supervise students to ensure their safety, emotional well-being, and active participation throughout the school day.
• Provide assistance during arrival and dismissal (e.g., helping with jackets, hats, backpacks, snacks, and water bottles).
• Accompany students to and from special classes and other transitions.
• Assist students with tying shoes, buttoning clothing, and other age-appropriate self-care needs.
• Support students during snack and lunch times (e.g., opening containers, cutting food, encouraging healthy habits).
• Engage students in hands-on activities, including puzzles, games, and tactile learning such as LEGO play.
• Assist students during restroom use, if needed, while ensuring proper hygiene practices.
• Sit on the floor and interact directly with students during play and learning activities.
• Monitor inclusion, safety, and overall well-being throughout the school day.
• Provide physical assistance in emergencies (e.g., lifting or carrying a student when necessary) in accordance with safety protocols.

Instructional Support

• Demonstrate and model correct letter formation, pencil/crayon/marker grip, and scissor use.
• Support students in developing fine motor skills through tasks such as cutting, coloring, and tracing.
• Accurately follow teacher directions and instructional strategies.
• Provide classroom coverage and implement lesson plans when the lead teacher is absent.

Classroom Preparation & Organization

• Prepare classroom materials including photocopying, laminating, cutting, and organizing supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Take and print photos for class projects and documentation.

Technology & Basic Skills

• Utilize basic technology tools including Microsoft Office, interactive Smartboards, and Canva for classroom-related tasks.
• Independently complete classroom-related hands-on tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• May work at a desk, computer, or floor for extended periods of time.
• Work primarily in a traditional climate-controlled classroom environment.
• Work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.

Paideia is a progressive, pre-K-12, independent school in the Emory University area of Atlanta. The high school enrolls approximately 460 students. The high school curriculum consists of extensive offerings in English, social sciences, mathematics, foreign languages, natural and physical sciences, art, and music. Class size averages fifteen students.

The role of the faculty is to help students acquire the skills, information, and attitudes that will enable them to have productive and satisfying lives. We cultivate social and personal skills and emphasize student responsibility. While academic achievement varies a bit, the pool of talent is deep and most students are highly motivated. Duties and Responsibilities:

High school students are making a transition into adulthood and often need guidance making complex decisions. Students are navigating academic, peer, and parental pressures as they face the school day and beyond. Our job as teachers and counselors is to help them make this transition. 

We have 2 full-time High School counselors who are integral to the high school administrative support team. They work closely with families, students, teachers, and the high school administration. Our counselors also partner with the learning support team in the High school. They provide a proactive program that includes direct student services such as: group activities or instruction, and individual student counseling. Our high school counselors are prepared to recognize and respond to student mental health needs and to assist families and students in seeking outside resources. They can offer short term counseling for students and can work with families on finding outside long term counseling solutions for students. Counselors also teach during either the long term or short term periods.

Minimum Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate who is trained in child and adolescent development. Minimum requirements are a Master’s Degree in counseling or related area, as well as at least 5 years of relevant experience. Applicants should also have experience working with outside mental health providers. The focus for this position will be in the high school (grades 9-12) as well as some support for the junior high program on an as-needed basis. Licensure in counseling or related fields required. 

School experience is preferred, but not required for this position. Collaboration with teachers, students, families and the HS administrative team is a fundamental part of this position.

 The Lower School:

The Position: 

Athens Academy seeks a dynamic, creative, and collaborative, full-time, long-term substitute Lower School teacher, beginning January 2026. The position requires a compassionate, energetic, and versatile individual to work closely with students, parents, fellow teachers, and administrators to support the mission of the school by promoting excellence with honor in the educational and personal experience of each child. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Elementary Education or related field.
• Three or more years of experience working with children at the elementary level. 
• A genuine interest in working with this age group and engaging them in meaningful ways.

Prince Avenue Christian School is currently accepting applications for a full-time substitute teacher. Grade assignment will vary daily depending on the needs of the school.

Overview: In the absence of the classroom teacher, the substitute teacher provides instruction, encourages students’ progress, and manages the learning environment to assist the instructional staff.

Primary Responsibilities: Work with the sub-coordinator and academic dean to:

• Implement existing lesson plans in a manner that ensures consistency and encourages student participation
• Maintain a well-managed classroom that fosters a safe and positive teaching and learning environment
• Assign classwork and homework to students in accordance with lesson plans
• Ensure adequate supervision of students
• Take attendance and document daily notes
• Compile any necessary information for the teacher when they return
• If necessary, supervise students in areas outside of the classroom (chapel, cafeteria, playground, etc.)

·  Develop a rapport with students that motivates and fosters enthusiasm.

· Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and school goals.

·  Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

 · A committed Christian who is active in an evangelical church ministry

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be able to follow oral and written directions and can establish effective working relationships with faculty/staff and students
