High Meadows School in Roswell, Georgia, approximately 30 minutes north of Atlanta, is accepting student support teacher applications for the 2026-2027 school year. This position starts July 28, 2026. Initially, the position begins with 18 hours per week; however, as additional students are assessed, the hours could increase 4+ hours per student, per week. Essential Job Functions

Our teachers:

The Campus

High Meadows School sits on 42 wooded acres in Roswell. The school is housed in several buildings spread across the two meadows on the property. We have an active barnyard on campus, serving as the home for horses, sheep, bunnies, and chickens. Faculty and staff must be comfortable traveling between buildings in all types of weather, participating in outdoor activities on the meadows and in the forest, and intermingling with animals.

Minimum Education/Prior Experience/Qualifications Required

·        Minimum of three to five current, consecutive years as a classroom support teacher in appropriate grade level;

·        Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education required;

·        Current GA T-4 or above Teaching Certification;

·        Applicants must demonstrate an understanding of the Pedagogy in the Study of Reading, Reading Assessment and Instruction as well as the understanding of Content Area Reading.

The applicant will need a thorough understanding of Differentiated instruction as a process to teaching and learning for students of differing abilities in multi-age groupings. Collaborative and interdisciplinary instruction experience a must. Must have experience understanding and applying assessment measures, developing individualized student goals, and evaluating progress. Must possess strong communication skills and be flexible when it comes to scheduling. Looking for enthusiastic, creative professional possessing differentiated instructional techniques and strategies to help learners succeed. Qualified applicants should be knowledgeable about inquiry-based learning, balanced literacy and authentic assessment.

Preferences given to applicants with:

·        Master’s degree in Special Education.

·        Orton-Gillingham certification and/or a GA Reading Endorsement is a plus.

·        Experience as a teacher in a progressive school setting

POSITION SUMMARY:

In consultation with the Director of Fine Arts, colleagues in the Fine Arts department and other members of the faculty, the Guitar/General Music teacher is responsible for teaching beginning guitar, intermediate and advanced guitar ensemble, and general music topics including music theory, composition, music technology and world music to students of varied levels of expertise, in grade 5 through 12. The ideal candidate will have experience with a wide range of musical styles and will be comfortable facilitating student led projects.

An elementary school teacher educates students in foundational subjects like reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. The Savannah Country Day School is seeking a full-time Technical Theatre Director for the 2026-2027 academic year. Under the general to limited supervision of the Director of Fine & Performing Arts, the Technical Theatre Director will manage a student-centered Technical Theatre program for the Upper School. This program would also support an award-winning Theatre Arts Program in the Middle and Upper Schools by being the lead scenic and lighting designer. This role may include occasional night and weekend work.

Typical duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

·       Teaches Technical Theatre classes for the Upper School that include scenic, lighting and sound design theory and practice.

·       Supervises student technical crews and further develops a training program to build an ongoing student technical production team, to include backstage run crew, sound and light board operators, and spot operators. Develops a cohort of students who are trained to meet the demands of technical theatre production and work effectively as a team.

·       Monitors the condition of equipment, including lighting, sound, and rigging equipment; arranges for necessary repair or replacement within budgetary constraints; performs preventive maintenance on equipment.

·       Assists with the preparation and control of production budgets; maintains inventory and orders specialized supplies.

·       Attends Tech Week rehearsals, to supervise and assist in the technical aspects of mounting each production.

·       Makes recommendations to the Director of Fine and Performing Arts regarding capital purchases of technical equipment.

·       Enforces applicable safety practices in the theatre/classroom environment.

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Theatre or a related field from an accredited college or university. Master’s degree preferred. 

·       Demonstrated experience designing scenery and lighting for theatre productions. 

·       Proficiency in programming a light board, working with QLab or other sound design software, and experience training students to do so.

·       Aptitude with Google Suite, QLab, ION Lighting Console, and VectorWorks/AutoCAD.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

The Campus

The Position: 

Athens Academy seeks a dynamic, creative, and collaborative, full-time Lower School teacher, beginning in August 2026. The position requires a compassionate, energetic, and versatile individual to work closely with students, parents, fellow teachers, and administrators to support the mission of the school by promoting excellence with honor in the educational and personal experience of each child. This position serves as the lead fourth-grade math teacher and is responsible for teaching mathematics to all fourth-grade students. In addition, the teacher will serve as a homeroom teacher and teach additional content areas to their homeroom class. Working closely with the fourth-grade team, this teacher will collaborate in planning integrated units of study that support both deep subject expertise and strong student relationships.

The Savannah Country Day School is seeking a Middle School Learning Support Specialist. Under the general supervision of the Head of Middle School, Director of Learning Support, and Middle School Learning Support Coordinator, the Learning Support Specialist provides instruction, reinforcement of academic concepts, and collaboration with classroom teachers. Typical duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain an average caseload of up to 12-15 students, providing direct instruction in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning, in individual and small group sessions. Able to pre-teach and reteach concepts in all academic subjects, focusing on teaching students to apply effective learning strategies.

• Expect to teach 5 to 6 periods out of an 8-period schedule; some of your “free” periods may be spent supervising assessments, meeting with faculty, or meeting other department needs; attend weekly grade-level meetings.

• Share responsibility for arranging and supervising accommodations for students who test with accommodations.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers and grade-level teams to provide holistic support and implement the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guidelines.

• Meet with the Head of Middle School, Director of Learning Support, the MS Learning Support Coordinator, the school counselors, the grade-level teams of teachers, and parents, as assigned.

• Keep thorough records of individual lesson plans with short and long-term goals and the methods to achieve them. Keep parents informed of strategies and methods used in the individual support sessions.

• Write student narrative reports twice a year on all students, including goals, materials, and strategies.

• Attend parent/teacher conferences twice a year and meet with parents as needed during the year.

• Attend meetings with the Head of MS, MS Learning Support Coordinator, and MS Counselors to discuss neuropsychological evaluations and develop a detailed student learning profile, including a summary of his/her neuropsychological evaluation and a Student Accommodation Plan. Meet with parents to discuss any evaluation and/or accommodation plan updates.

• Adhere to the expectations stated in the SCDS Faculty & Staff Handbook and in the job description of a MS Teacher.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and keep current with research and training pertaining to specific learning differences/disabilities, such as ADHD, OCD, auditory processing, dyscalculia, executive functioning, decoding, and written expression, so that specific strategies and appropriate materials can be implemented.

World Languages Teacher, Middle School Spanish

This faculty position reports to the Head of Middle School and plays a vital role in fostering academic growth, global awareness, and personal development in students.

Position Overview

The World Languages Teacher is responsible for creating an engaging, student-centered classroom environment that supports language acquisition, cultural understanding, and personal growth. The teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues, communicate effectively with families, and contribute meaningfully to the life of the Middle School and the broader school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for classroom activities and for the management, organization, and discipline of the classroom.
• Teach 4–5 Middle School Spanish classes and serve as a grade-level advisor
• Design and implement lesson plans aligned with divisional instructional and philosophical standards
• Translate lesson plans into learning experiences that actively involve and engage students
• Integrate technology, media, and modern instructional tools into classroom teaching
• Seek regular field experience opportunities for students that extend the classroom into the broader community.
• Collaborate closely with grade-level and departmental colleagues to support student success
• Establish clear expectations for student behavior through positive relationships and reinforcement
• Assess, evaluate, and document students’ academic and social growth
• Communicate regularly with parents through conferences, email, meetings, and School events
• Sponsor 1–2 school clubs or activities
• Chaperone field trips, including local and overnight trips, and one Middle School dance
• Attend required meetings, Parent Night, chapel services, and before- and after-school conferences as needed

Our new Middle School Teacher will be part of a close-knit team and should have subject expertise in one or more of the following: math, science, or humanities/social studies. Candidates must also demonstrate:
